Catspaw Authentic Entertainment - v ery special entertainment for special events. Check out our workshops - especially the range of story workshops. Or make your party an event to go down in history with one of our shows from the Dark Ages, Medieval, Viking, Elizabethan periods. Our wedding listings offer something a little different for stag and hen and wedding entertainments. | ||
TOURING Some of our acts include periods when they are specifically touring certain shows in their schedule as well as taking general bookings. A good example of this would be The Travelling Talesman's Tales and Ales Tours - playing character hostelries and and hotels for a period in the Spring and the Autumn. At this time we will actively seek bookings that suit the tour and discounts for multiple bookings are likely to be available. For these bookings where publicising the event is important (as opposed to private parties where you know and invite all your own guests) then being part of a tour is an additional benefit. Although you must publicise your oen event your event will be mentioned on general publicity and will be mentioned at earlier events in the tour so being part of a tour can significantly widen the audience you reach. Publicity material featuring all dates will be available to all venues. Forthcoming Tours: We are currently seeking new venues suited to storytelling for The Travelling Talesman Tours. Characterful pubs, bars, hotels and restaurants, museums or historic sites are all appropriate. If you have real fires, inglenook, original beams and your own brewery all the better, but most pubs (other than sky sports oriented ones) which have some kind of area for the audience to gather and sit in usually are fine. Some discounts available for Mid-Devon venues. TAKING BOOKINGS NOWFOR 2009 Talesman Tours:
Around St Georges Day 2009 (21st April) - The Travelling Talesman - St George, Dragons and other mythical beasts: Invite a selection of traditional dragons and other mythical beasts to your venue. Including, of course, the full story of St George and other tales from NE Europe.
Tales and Ales Spring 09 (March, April and May) Again characterful pubs, bars, hotels and restaurants - serving real ale of some kind for the "and ales" part.
