Character: Mrs Richmond

Show: Mrs Richmond's Bridge Four

Director: Billy Adams

Comments: Mrs Richmond is by far the most enjoyable character I've played in years. She came to life in the script and doing her justice was incredibly enjoyable. A very intense shoot with a great energy. Favorite moment was definitely the intensity of the time we spent shooting the carefully choreographed assault scene in the bedroom. I'm not used to people being scared of me but apparently when wearing Mrs Richmond it's totally justified. Much the same fun as Geek Grannies noticing how people suddenly start reacting to you as the character not yourself (who are, I promise, very different. I've never done anyone in with a meat cleaver :) Least favorite moment: discovering the next day that I really had put everything I had, including half my spine, into dragging corpses around whilst wearing high heels.

Character: Julie

Show: Poppies

Director: Ashley Wing

Comments: A beautiful piece based around a poem about a war veteran and his daughter (Julie) selling Remembrance Poppies. My fellow actors and the crew were wonderful to work with, and even the weather smiled on us.

Character: Vera

Show: Geek Grannies

Director:

Comments: Half the day spent being latexed up to twice my age and the other half spent having a great time getting thoroughly into character as a rather hard of hearing old lady. Also being very amused how convincing I must have been as everyone automatically tried to help me up out of my chair and steadied me when we had tea breaks etc.

Character: Mrs Hutchinson (mother of Derek)

Show: Hypothala-what?

Director:

Comments: A sensitive approach to a true life story of a man who to this day campaigns against the lobotomy to the hypothalmus his mother was persuaded to sign him over for.

Character: Half of a Gardening couple

Show: DCM commercial

Director: Bruce Vigar

Comments: Fun, slightly cheesy finance ad

Character: Various lead female insects

Show: Love in the Undergrowth - short film with animation.

Director: Victoria Aust

Comments: A great shoot. Art students film around the premise of: What if people courted like insects do.... I got to play at least half a dozen of my favorite insects.

Extra - some of the more fun extra work I've had...

Character: Charlies Angel style Belly dancer

Show: Sketchy

Director:

Comments: Leaping out of a transit as it's screached to a halt and striking a pose, then belly dancing around a police officer... for a kids sketch show. Was absolutely as much fun as it sounds, and then some.

Character: passer by

Show: Midnight man

Director:

Comments: a pleasant shoot in battersea, first close encounter with paparazi there to shoot robson green

Character: Police office & Night worker

Show: Torchwood

Director:

Comments: As always the Torchwood team were a pleasure to work with (and Barry Island at night is rather pretty even in the rain).

Character: Lower Class & Maid & Maid Incognito

Show: The Duchess

Director: Saul Dibb

Comments: Weeks of work. Good fun chasing carriages and promenading, then the joy on the last day of being one of only 4 recalled extras and being in close scenes with the principles (incl. Keira Knightley) and getting personal direction from the director. A joy of a day.

Character: Ferry Passenger

Show: Batman Begins

Director:

Comments: A demanding but enjoyable day packed in a small space for most of it. Excellent pleasure having a director who trusted his hoard of extra's to be capable of good improvising, and then repeating it consistantly (we did of course).

Character: Audience memb ers

Show: Vice master infomercial

Director:

Comments: Facinating - never knew vices could be so interesting, or that so many adults could giggle so much over the name of a DIY product...

Character: Terrified member of public

Show:28 weeks later

Director:

Comments: Oh what fun running full pelt and screaming all night - some people pay good money to do that as therapy! Minor injury from being shoved by another extra whilst running but better than being eaten by a zombie still.

Character: Part of the press pack following Simon Peggs character

Show:Run Fat Boy Run

Director: David Schwimmer

Comments: Night shoots in London, a lovely close team and enjoyable shoot (if you like 5pm to 5am - which I rather do sometimes)

Character: Society Lady

Show:Persuasion

Director:

Comments: Fantastic hair do's, wonderful costumes and the beautiful setting of Bath. Don't tread on that goose!

Character: Woman shopping

Show:Torchwood

Director:

Comments: As always lovely working with Torchwood - I could almost move to Cardiff (nice city) just to do it more often. Sooner they run a ferry from Barnstaple to Cardiff the better!

Character: Woman at coffee morning

Show: Macmillan coffee morning commercial

Director: ?

Comments: A very very sunny day out in the Oval.

Character: Avis Car hire Desk Staff

Show: Perfect Day

Director: ?

Comments: London City Airport, very early on a Sunday morning - a suprisingly brief but fun shoot.

Character: Peasant girl from Wall Village

Show: Stardust

Director: Matthew Vaughn

Comments: Well - Stowe school is stunning. Sadly, my hero, DeNiro, wasn't actually present at that shoot, but a fantastic night all the same (but then I was one of the lucky ones in layers and layers of peasant rags rather than a beautiful but uncomfortable and chilly ballgown.

Character: Office worker

Show: Greenpeace 4x4 commercial

Director:?

Comments: A couple of days given for free. Nothing too challenging, but all for a good cause.

Character: Friend of the mayor/girl in cinema

Show: A very English summer - short film

Director/Company: Paul Prescott/Redroofs

Comments: Originally an extra in this 1966 beauty pageant themed show - soon ended up with a small speaking part.

Character: Dyke in club

Show: House of cards - short film

Director/Company: Brian Skeet/Redroofs

Comments: Great fun being a regular in the club and cheering on the fight scene, lending a hand to the club owner and generally being active and helpful (in character and lending a hand to the crew).

Character: Girl at the bar

Show: Coming out - student short

Director/Company: Dan Wilding

Comments: One of four people making a large bar look crowded - not easily done but we managed it eventually.
